We have no plans to make Mongoose 7 EOL currently, rough estimate would be Q3-Q4 2026. We're hoping to release Mongoose 9 sometime in summer 2025, so I expect we will have more updates on the Mongoose 7 EOL front around then. |

I see that v7 is in legacy support mode, and that is the last version that supports MongoDB 7. We're just trying to plan our upgrade path as Mongo 7 goes EOL in August 2026, and we can't upgrade to Mongoose v8.x until our DB servers have been upgraded. MongoDB v6 goes EOL in a month or so, but Mongoose v6 (last version to support MongoDB v6) went EOL at beginnign of the year. We just want to make sure we don't end up running an unsupported version of Mongoose when planning our MongoDB upgrades. Is there any clarity on when Mongoose v7 will officially go EOL?
