Primary Objectives

• Revamp the TUI
• Support for Jira 9 or later
• Modernize codebase

Possible Changes

TUI

• Migrate from AlecAivazis/survey to charmbracelet/bubbletea. Survey is deprecated; Bubbletea offers modern TUI framework.
• Evaluate migration from rivo/tview to charmbracelet/bubbletea
• Issue listing with search (triggered by /)
• Issue move/transition
• Issue view
• Quick issue edit (editing everything from the TUI may not be feasible)

CLI

• Rename --raw flag to --json
• LLMs compatible output (Only if there is enough user interests)

Guidelines

• Compatible PRs will be merged to main branch and rebased to v2
• All backwards incompatible PRs must be targeted to the v2 branch

The journey to v2 is a substantial amount of work, and it’s important to note that this project is currently a solo effort, built during my free time. Progress might be slower at times to avoid burnt-out but we'll eventually get there.
