Using On-Premise S3 for Thanos Storage: Performance Comparison

I'm evaluating Dell's S3 Enterprise as an object storage solution for Thanos metrics. Does anyone in the community use any on-premise S3 solution (either from Dell or another provider)? I'd like to know if there are any performance comparisons between these on-premise solutions and AWS S3.

• Latency and throughput comparisons with AWS S3
• Implementation challenges encountered

We are using a PureStorage FlashBlade Object Storage! So far the performance has been sufficient e.g. remote-write tests have confirmed a latency across our network (e.g. with firewalls, loadbalancing) of about 500Mb/s
