Docs zip of Django 5.2 has Django 5.1.7 as title

The problem appears to be gone. I downloaded the zip file linked above and the index.html file has the title "Django 5.2 documentation".

This indicates either a caching issue, a transient bug in the way the zip file is built (Sphinx), or a temporary issue when a new major version is released. None of this seems particularly easy to debug.

I would recommend getting rid of the zip file altogether and linking to the one that ReadTheDocs host (if I remember correctly, that's already what we do for the epub version of the docs).

Hi,

this small Problem is still here, probably your build system is broken?

Just downloaded the doc for django 4.2.22 and 5.2.2

The docs schows:

• 4.2 instead of 4.2.22
• 5.2 instead of 5.2.2

as version number.

Now I build the doc with sphinx from the sources.

So I take the django-4.2.22.tar.gz

• untar it
• go to docs subdir
• run: make.bat html
• Result: the version number in the doc is 4.2.22
  (instead of 4.2 from the doc html django-docs-4.2-en.zip file downloaded from https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/4.2)

Same for django-5.2.2.tar.gz

• untar it
• go to docs subdir
• run: make.bat html
• Result: the version number in the doc is 5.2.2
  (instead of 5.2 from the doc html django-docs-5.2-en.zip file downloaded from https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/5.2)

The self built docs show the correct version number, while the downloaded show only the main version number of the first release.

Here another small glitch I noticed.

The docs I build from the sources are missing sone icons.

The website version is OK: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/5.2/intro/overview/

The doc created with make.bat html is missing some icons:
