An unhandled exception occurred: Missing "./storage/storage" specifier in "@angular/fire" package

I am using the following packages:
"@angular/core": "^18.1.3",
"@angular/fire": "^18.0.1",

When I tried to add this provideStorage( () => getStorage()) in the config, it is throwing this error "An unhandled exception occurred: Missing "./storage/storage" specifier in "@angular/fire" package"
