We have install bruno via all the other ways except AUR in the Readme. We need to add this to the Readme.

Also the AUR bruno package is out-of-date and seems unmaintained. we should officially start supporting AUR. and setup pipelines to automatically update Packages instead of someone manually doing it.

This way it will be less effort for the maintainers.

Thanks

Please read the documentation and links on auto updates on AUR from the arch linux wiki:
https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-general@lists.archlinux.org/message/AYISVT7SOB444HXHIF2CKA2TIHBESH2D/

Auto publishing is at best not seen in a good way over there. You should probably not do that. AUR is also by definition a "user repository" with opinionated package build scripts maintained by end users. It's not an officially supported package registry for arch based distributions. If you want bruno to be officially supported, you should contact some Trusted Users and ask them to take care of it so it could join the extra package repository. Even then, it won't be automated but the package will be maintained by those Trusted Users.

I agree. But as long as the package is maintained by the official team its not a problem. Its common for golang packages which use goreleaser to update the packages in the aur automatically on release.

BTW, I have made a PR to vbouchaud/aur#1 that adds the conflicts different bruno packages.
