when projects are being generated and the directory structure is too deep there is an error while setting status name as follows:

422 Validation Failed [{Resource:Status Field:description Code:custom Message:description is too long (maximum is 140 characters)}]

seems that there is an undocumented validation in github api to validate this description. Since the description isn't shown much in the ui (context is displayed first), we set the description to "" to avoid this validation error

Walkthrough

The changes modify the behavior of the SetStatus method in GithubService by setting the Description field to an empty string instead of using statusContext, thus preventing validation errors due to exceeding 140 characters. Additionally, whitespace adjustments in the ConvertGithubPullRequestEventToJobs function improve code alignment, with no impact on functionality. There are no changes to exported or public entities.

Changes

File Change Summary
libs/ci/github/github.go - In SetStatus, the Description is now set to an empty string to avoid exceeding 140 characters.
- Formatting adjustments in ConvertGithubPullRequestEventToJobs for consistent code alignment.

255-265: Good fix for the GitHub API validation issue.

The change correctly addresses the validation error that occurs when status descriptions exceed 140 characters. Setting the description to an empty string is a practical solution since, as noted, the description isn't displayed in the UI anyway.

499-502: Code formatting improvement looks good.

The whitespace adjustment improves readability by properly aligning the StateRoleArn and CognitoOidcConfig fields.

525-528: Code formatting improvement looks good.

Same whitespace alignment fix as above, maintaining consistent formatting throughout the function.

585-587: Code formatting improvement looks good.

Same whitespace alignment fix as above, consistently applied to all instances.

  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai gather interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table. Additionally, render a pie chart showing the language distribution in the codebase.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
    • @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.

Note: Be mindful of the bot's finite context window. It's strongly recommended to break down tasks such as reading entire modules into smaller chunks. For a focused discussion, use review comments to chat about specific files and their changes, instead of using the PR comments.
