How to push text containing quotes?

I try to send notification to telegram from 3-d party App by this way:

apprise -t "From App" -b "%FROMADDR %SUBJECT" --config=telegram.txt

Where %FROMADDR and %SUBJECT are variables, which contain some different text. So if these variables contain text like

We send the "Item N3"

apprise fails to send notification.

I'm not familiar with the %variablename setting. Is this Microsoft Windows you're using?

I believe you want to use $variablename in Linux, Mac and even Windows PowerShell. If you're using another program entirely outside of these shells, then it's up to that program to convert the variables for you.

3-party tool is an email client. It has system of filters (sorting rules). As well as actions, which start as soon as a curtain filter fires. For example, I need to filter emails from sender "github" or with subject "apprise" and notify about them to telegram through apprise . So my config looks like this

%FROMADDR %SUBJECT are standard variables for this email client. I can use them in templates, in address fields, etc. As well as to send as parameter to external application like apprise. Sorry for misunderstood.

So if these vars do not contain quotes, everything works as it should.

Sounds like a bug with the tool you're using. The tool is responsible for swapping the %var entries into real values (like a a shell does) and you are observing that this isn't the case when you use quotes.

What happens if you wrap your strings with single quotes (') instead of double ones(")? In a shell environment, usually variable swapping won't happen if it's in single quotes, but maybe this tool works the other way?

I'm not familiar with the tool itself, but perhaps you can pass in escaped quotes as well (something to try) -> \"
