Hello, according to this link Google stopped basic auth support for gmail accounts and our email receiver stopped working. Does Alertmanager support oauth? is there any workaround to make Alertmanager send notifications to gmail SMTP?

No I don't believe so, it just supports CRAM-MD5, PLAIN and LOGIN.

Do you know if there is any plans to make it working? or we can expect gmail not gonna work with Alertmanager for quiet some time?

I don't know if any maintainers currently have the time to implement the OAuth 2.0 Mechanism required here. It looks like most of this is documented here though https://developers.google.com/workspace/gmail/imap/xoauth2-protocol#smtp_protocol_exchange. We would be open to someone from the community contributing a patch with the required support for XOAUTH2 as per the documentation I linked.

Looks like app passwords still supports basic auth, they can be used as workaround
