   If you are using a VSCode workspace that splits subdirectories of one root folder into their own root folders, you may want to exclude them from the visible structure of the original root folder, and not have repeated entries in search results.  The configuration below is an example of how to accomplish this, as of the time of writing (May 2025 / VSCode 1.100.0).
