Errors when launching X11 on VirtualBox

Not completely sure this is the best place to ask but I installed Azure Linux on VirtualBox, managed to add the extended repo and installed X11. However, when i try launching it I get a (EE) no screens found(EE) error.

Here is a screenshot of the result of running startx. I have also included the /var/logs/Xorg.0.log file as well as the output of lspci -k.

You need a driver for the video adapter:

X can't load the driver:

Where can I get a suitable driver?

should you compile https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-vmware or dnf install open-vm-tools

open-vm-tools was already installed and and I'm having difficulties compiling xf86-video-vmware, it's autogen.sh gives an error which I'm not sure how to fix.

configure: error: Package requirements (x11 xext) were not met:

Package 'xext', required by 'virtual:world', not found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables X11_CFLAGS
and X11_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

I don't know where to get xext from or how to install it.

first complete the dependency
dnf install libXext-devel

then compile to system

configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc 
sudo make install
sudo depmod -a
sudo dracut --force
echo vmwgfx | sudo tee -a /etc/modules
sudo modprobe vmwgfx

I ran all of those commands but I get an modprobe: FATAL: Module vmgfx not found in directory /lib/modules/6.6.85.1-2.azl3 when trying to run sudo modprobe vmwgfx
