Me no code so good, but I have had relative success starting and managing projects.
In my free time I like to make applications that are financially irresponsible to produce.
I started working on Sitekick Remastered on July 24, 2019. I am responsible for leading the direction of the project, basic code, hosting, deployments, documentation, and general administration. We've had 9 people contribute code and art to the project, and have around 2300 players at the time of writing.
More details are available on the homepage. Most of our repositories are public. You can find them on our GitHub Organization.
RetroAchievements added support for Gamecubue games, so I was starting a save in Animal Crossing (2002). I was looking around for a companion app, but was surprised to find that nobody had done one. I decided to try my hand at solo-developing an app, and am happy with the end result.
I used Noodl to put together a pretty decent looking website that helps people track their progress in Animal Crossing (2002) for Gamecube. It's available on Google Play for Android users, and as a standalone website hosted on Github Pages.
YTV released a game for Windows 2000 / XP in 2004. This game was lost to time, however I managed to restore it to working form 21 years later. It was a real pain in the ass, but it's really nice to know that forgotten media can be played again. It's easily been 15 years since someone last played it.
Steps I had to take:
- Find the original installer
- Wireshark the server it was trying to pull from
- Find the real executable on archive.org
- Remove ActiveMark DRM (Only works on NON-VM Windows 2000/XP devices)
- Package with standalone Projector, Shockwave player 10
There's a handful of other projects that I work on, but these are the most notable at the moment. Shout out to:
