GitHub Copilot Mode Marketplace

Feature Request Summary:
Add a marketplace for GitHub Copilot modes where users can browse, install, and publish custom modes with their tools and prompts.

Problem Statement:
Users currently cannot easily discover or share specialized Copilot modes for different development scenarios, limiting productivity and collaboration opportunities.

Proposed Solution:

Core Features:

  1. Mode Browser

    • Searchable catalog of official and community modes
    • Show mode name, description, required tools, and sample prompts
    • Category filtering (Languages, Frameworks, Use Cases)
  2. One-Click Installation

    • Install modes with automatic dependency resolution
    • Manage installed modes in settings
    • Easy mode switching and activation
  3. Mode Publishing

    • Simple upload interface for custom modes
    • Mode validation and basic security checks
    • Version management and updates
  4. Mode Information Display

    • Clear view of tools used (extensions, APIs, etc.)
    • Preview of system prompts and behavior
    • User ratings and download statistics
