Markdown link intellisense starting directory

I would like a way to configure the starting directory for markdown link intellisense.

Reason:
Markdown link intellisense always starts from the root of the vscode project.
For mkDocs, links need to start from the /docs directory so the user must manually remove the "/docs" prefix from the link created by intellisense.
