Description
Description of the new feature / enhancement
A column-based navigation view in Windows File Explorer, similar to the macOS Finder's "Column View."
This feature would display the folder hierarchy in vertical columns, where selecting a folder in one column immediately displays its contents in the next column to the right.
Expected Behavior:
- When a folder is opened, its contents appear in a new column to the right.
- Columns remain visible, allowing the user to trace and access parent folders easily.
- Files can be previewed or opened from the final column.
- Supports drag-and-drop between columns.
Scenario when this would be used?
This would allow for quick, intuitive navigation through deep folder structures and provides better context of the folder path.
It would be especially useful for users working with nested directories or organizing large amounts of files.
