Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
My mcp server is unable to retrieve information from git or GitHub.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like support for both git clone and git pull, to enable models to begin with non-blank repos.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently the LLM tries to browse the web and write each file it finds from the repo. This is incredibly token inefficient.
