Reasons for the request

I would like to use the name pollux for a new project. There is currently a pypi project with this name with a single release from 2017. The homepage is a broken link because the GitHub repository has been moved or renamed (linked from the pypi page: http://github.com/interrogator/pollux). It's possible that the project got named to this one: https://github.com/interrogator/corpkit, but the README for that project states that it is unmaintained. I have contacted the gmail email associated with the pypi page twice in January but have not heard back yet.

Current project does not appear to have a code repository. From looking at issues, it's possible that the previous pollux was renamed to this repo: https://github.com/interrogator/corpkit

The new project (WIP) is here: http://github.com/adrn/pollux/ - I intend to publish a first version within a month or two.

Contact and additional research

I contacted the current owner on January 12 and again on January 31 via email, but have not heard back yet. I'm happy to wait a little longer to see if they respond. I believe the owner is @interrogator

I did find a bitbucket page (http://bitbucket.org/interro_gator/pollux) for a project pollux but it appears unmaintained (last commits in 2017, and the README links all point to a non-existent GitHub repository.

We are working to contact the owner to determine if they're reachable and have sent them a courtesy message.

Final determination regarding project ownership will be made by the PyPI Administrators when the research process is complete.

The Owner was unreachable and did not get back to us regarding the status of their project despite multiple attempts. Therefore, we consider the project abandoned per PEP 541.

I recommend that @adrn be assigned as the new owner of pollux.
