[Bug]: Kernel make uses higher CPU count than available #6907

Description

@ColorfulRhino

What happened?

Running any kernel compile with the option SHOW_COMMAND=yes reveals that it it using make '-j24' on my machine which only has 16 CPU cores. It should run with make '-j16'. echo $(nproc) result is 16.

I don't think there is a performance penalty necessarily, but still something is odd.

How to reproduce?

./compile.sh BOARD=nanopi-r6c BRANCH=edge BUILD_DESKTOP=no BUILD_MINIMAL=no EXPERT=yes KERNEL_CONFIGURE=no RELEASE=trixie SHOW_COMMAND=yes
