What is Open Data DK?

+ + Open Data DK is an association for Danish municipalities and regions. The purpose of Open Data DK is to create transparency in the public administration and create the basis for data-driven growth. Data is made open and freely available to support productivity and innovation at a higher level of data utilization. +
++ Open Data DK believes that open data that citizens and businesses across Denmark can access easily and free of charge can be used as raw material in the development of applications, services and services or be the starting point for analyzes, trend assessments, research, etc. At the same time, open data will be able to support the transparency of public administration so that citizens and businesses can become even more active players in our local democracy. This creates added value from the many data already collected. +

Use cases
++ Many public authorities demand concrete examples of the use of open data from Denmark, so that they can see how open data can be used - and hence why it makes sense to display data. If you have made a good case, visualization or mashup with the use of open, Danish data, please write to us ( info@opendata.dk ). We can use the good examples to get even more data released. +

++ The data portal is based on the Open Source software CKAN ( http://ckan.org/ ) from the Open Knowledge Foundation. +
++ The data portal is hosted and operated by Viderum , which specializes in the operation and hosting of precisely CKAN platforms. They originate from the Open Knowledge Foundation behind CKAN. Viderum has extensive experience and knowledge about the CKAN platform. +
++ We work continuously to improve both the portal and the various types of data and information that lie on it. We encourage you to contact the data owner / contact person on a dataset if you want to use business data sets. +
