Custom D&D 5e 5.4.0

A Foundry VTT module to customise the D&D 5e system.

Important

This release is compatible with D&D 5e v5.3.0+ and Foundry VTT v14 only.

Warning

Remember to backup your world before loading it for the first time after updating this module.

New Features

Speed Factor Initiative

  • Run initiative using the Speed Factor variant (Dungeon Master's Guide (2014), page 270). At the beginning of each round, initiative is cleared and each combatant chooses one or more actions. Once everyone has chosen (or skipped), initiative is automatically rolled with the rolls modified by the chosen actions. Actions and modifiers are fully customisable.

Configure Condition Effects

  • Located in Configure Condition Effects, add or remove the dnd5e system's built-in condition effects. For example, if you are using the Legacy Rules (2014), but wish to modify the effects of Exhaustion, you can remove the existing condition effects in order to apply your own via Active Effects (or otherwise). Note, it's not possible to add your own custom condition effects, only add or remove existing ones.

Improvements

  • [#315] Explained what the Detect Alignment option does when configuring Creature Types.
  • [#316] Added an Any option to Condition Applied workflow trigger and removed All.
  • Restricted toggling radial status effects to only when the Select Tokens control is active to avoid accidentally clicking them while measuring or placing templates/tiles.
  • Added time-based triggers to workflows: Day, Dawn and Dusk.
  • Improved animation handling to stop animations being triggered over and over.
  • Courtesy of @Kharmans, updated the Brazilian Portuguese translations.
  • Courtesy of @Lioheart, updated the Polish translations.

Bug Fixes

  • Courtesy of @Ender-Emp, fixed the display of custom equipment types in the item's sub-heading.
  • Fixed the Armor Proficiencies/Types, Tool Proficiencies/Types and Weapon Proficiencies/Types configurations, which had all broken following a refactor.
  • Fixed taking dropped items with unlinked actors.
