Testing
Transmission 0.5.2 was tested in desktop Chrome on September 12, 2026. Build and all six automated tests passed again before GitHub publication on September 14.
- Real Codex request entered before pairing ran automatically after approval.
- Repeated Connect clicks preserved the same popup and channel.
- Suggestion replaced only the targeted paragraph; Undo restored the original.
- Sending a writing request did not refresh the page.
- Closing the companion updated connection status.
- Opening the floating assistant did not move the document. Clicking outside dismissed it.
- Core paragraph creation with Enter worked. Typing slash did not open an inserter.
- Core formatting remained available with inserters, movers and block-management menus hidden.
Earlier integration checks covered ordinary WordPress post saving, native media selection, attachment IDs and alt text, featured images, the desktop icon, and OpenStation theme changes.
npm test checks pairing reuse and exact origin/source/channel validation, request/result delivery, closed-window behavior, companion HTTP request authorization, escaped AI text, isolated recovery keys, and media validation.
- Build, run automated tests and PHP lint.
- Install the plugin into WordPress with OpenStation.
- Create, save and reopen a draft; confirm it is an ordinary WordPress post.
- Test native Media Library insertion and featured-image settings.
- Test AI pairing, suggestion review, accept, undo and disconnect.
- Verify the published Playground bundle, desktop icon and theme appearance.
The latest visual/AI flow was checked in desktop Chrome. This is not a claim of comprehensive Safari, mobile, accessibility or concurrent-edit testing. See Architecture and limitations.
