Design
Transmission keeps the document central. Posts open in a dismissible drawer, formatting appears in context, and AI opens as a small floating prompt beside a selected passage. The prompt does not become part of the saved post. Preset AI chips, block inserters, movers and block menus are omitted.
AI currently works on a whole selected paragraph or heading, rather than an arbitrary character range. Suggestions require explicit acceptance; stale suggestions cannot overwrite subsequent document changes.
OpenStation theme tokens control the interface palette. WordPress provides the block engine, formatting and media tools. This is a writing surface, not a pixel-perfect preview of the site's front-end theme.
The September 2026 design review considered contextual editing in Ghost and Medium, proposal review in Notion and Craft, and WordPress distraction-free writing.
Image-generated design studies informed the document-first layout; the shipped interface uses real WordPress controls and OpenStation styling. This was a design review and functional testing process, not participant-based usability research.
