I missed the “Most Forked” by > this < much! But I’m not bitter!
Wait, no, yes I am. I’m a petty small man.
Oh, and nice design! :-)
Ooh now github is a true social network – it has something we can game – getting your project on the home page. Probably via fake accounts made with mechanize. Yeah that sounds fun… :P
@drnic please make sure you post that project on github. Then we can use it to game itself. AND REVERSE THE UNIVERSE.
If this were a true social network I’d be able to add music to my profile page. And an animated background.
n-n-ice, reallly
Liking most of the new changes, but I think the featured project section looks a little bit unbalanced. I’d be interested to see what it looks like without the featured repo, I think it might be a bit more cohesive.
Purely from a business perspective, I’m wondering if potentially pushing the site description/call to action below the fold is a good thing?
Just a few suggestions.
Can we get an RSS feed for the featured projects?
You seem to have a rendering error. At least on FireFox 3.
The div.blurb, which hold’s the gray traiangle background image, doesnt seem to have a fixed height. When when you have a project in there like grit, which only has a 2 line description, the gray arrow is cut off about 2/3 of the way down. You may want to add a fixed height to that div to make it look better.
Also, love it. Nice job guys.
Hmm, how does one become a ‘featured project’? Is it a community voted thing, or a mojjie & defunct voted thing? Also, if the latter, what are you looking at? Popularity/age, or newness? Quality of code, quality of documentation? Arbitrary “holy shit this is cool” on your part when seeing it? d-:
Oh, and ditto about the RSS feed for featured projects thing d-:
