When a user starts edit mode and leaves without exiting edit mode, the message below is shown.

other-editing

Current

This message seem to remain until the user exits edit mode. ( = no time limit)

Proposal

"Edit Lock" will be released after a disignated time has passed. (maybe one or two hours)

I like this function... or we could add global exit edit mode function.
You have a page in System & Settings where you can forcefully exit all edit mode.. I think Joomla had this function.

Wouldn't this fix the problem too #5923 ?

@Remo Sorry, I missed that issue. Yes. He meant exactly what #5923 is saying.

We should do both. We used to relinquish edit mode if you hadn't made any changes in 15 minutes. We could probably bump that up to 30 minutes but I think it would be smart. And also we want #5923 as well.
