errorbar(): kwarg 'markevery' not working as expected.

i would like to have a errorbar plot with error bars less frequent than the data.
the 'markevery' key word argument seems to be the correct feature for this but only changes the marker frequency, not the error bar frequency.

ideally i would like a smooth curve draw with all points, and have the error bars drawn at a frequency defined by markevery.

right now i am working around this by manually re-sampling data with slicing ( ie data[::markevery])
