Input box width doesn't fit the last tag length

When the backspace key is pressed and the input box is empty and the enable-editing-last-tag is true, the input box doesn't fit the tag length and doesn't display it entirely.

This also happens when selecting an autocomplete suggestion which contains more characters than the placeholder text. The input should be dynamically resized to fit its content.
