Currently, per-version download data for all packages is public, for "the previous 7 days". Anyone can get this data moving forward by fetching and caching it daily. However, data for past dates is unavailable.
I've confirmed with employees that this data is pretty cheaply and trivially available, which is great because it means there aren't any technical obstacles. Would it be possible to expose this historical previously-public data publicly?
