App version

3.3.2

Where did you get the app from

Google Play

Android version

12

Device model

SM-A415F

First occurred

4 Months ago, 1st use

Steps to reproduce

  1. Bluetooth ear pods/buds working (eg: Samsung Galaxy), where double tap skips skips forwards, triple tap skips backwards.
  2. Antenna queue with at at least 3 tracks
  3. Settings > playback > Reassign hardware.forward button = skip; Reassign hardware.previous button = skip;
  4. Play track one in queue, double tap, it skips to next track
  5. Play track one in queue, triple tap, it skips to next track

Expected behaviour

triple tap, it skips to previous track

Current behaviour

It skips to the next track, just like the double tap / next button action does.

This must be a bug, without this going to the previous track, there is no way to skip back a track on the queue, with ear buds/pods, after skipping forwards, for whatever reason, without going back to phone UI and into the queue, which defeats the object and would be a missing fundamental feature which all other media players have. Meaning it impossible to fully navigate the queue just, whereas every single other media player seems to be able to.

This is intended behavior. The "skip" action always skips forward because it is meant as a way to indicate that you are not interested in the episode anymore. AntennaPod does not have the concept of going back to a previous episode. Which one would this be, the previous one in the queue or the previously played one that is not in the queue? Both of them would be quite unpredictable
