If the 'read from clipboard' function could be temporarily disabled, you could copy/paste from external dictionaries or web page look ups. As things are right now, if someone wants to use an external, custom dictionary using the 'open web page' option, it can' t be copy/pasted, and can only be added to the anki deck later.

@1over137 I would like to implement this. This is especially beneficial for dubbed content (curse of EU languages) where subs don't quite match what is being said. Sometimes I need to transcribe the word a few times to make sure I get it right, but then I can't copy it back into vocabsieve since it will override the current sentence.

For the implementation, I think a simple checkbox that would disable main.clipboardChanged() would be enough which would be easy. I think it would be useful to have the checkbox on the main window (as it can be used rather frequently). The problem is that we're running tight on space. I propose removing the VocabSieve label (above the Single word lookups checkbox) and putting the new checkbox there. The window already has a VocabSieve title so I don't think it's harmful to remove one of the labels

Actually, now I have second thoughts that we need to do anything 🙃 I've discovered that Windows' clipboard copy history (https://www.howtogeek.com/671222/how-to-enable-and-use-clipboard-history-on-windows-10/) bypasses VocabSieve's autocopy so it's perfect for this use case. Some Linux distros provide similar functionality of the box too
