Titles & Summaries:

  • file picker in "export data of selected uninstallers" picks "desktop" from other "user"
  • "export data of selected uninstallers" picks desktop from other user

Details:

on clicking "desktop" in the file picker in the mentioned dialog, it picks the desktop directory belonging to other user in case of multi-user windows

Steps:

perform these on a multi-user system

  1. have multi-users on system
  2. open bcu
  3. select any uninstaller
  4. file > export data of selected uninstallers
  5. pick desktop in the file picker shown

additional context:

i have two users:

  1. admin: this user was created after the current user one - if i recall correct.
  2. personal: the user i was using currently

umh, i think it would need more info too - but i don't know which one, so, feel free to ask :)

I'd guess it defaults to the admin user desktop, given BCU runs as admin. Could also be that the directory was a carry on from before where you saved some file to that directory.

yeahh, this is probably the reason. the carry on one is not as i manually selected desktop on the file picker this time.

so, do u think it should be reminded about? as i guess that its a very rare case that a user

  • needs to save smth
  • to a profiles dependent location
  • from an application running as another account
