In the recents menu of Quickstep, live tiles are a default feature that allows the app to appear to keep operating in the foreground while you are scrolling through other apps in recents before selecting a different app to open or returning to the current app
Why would it be useful to add?
I've been used to this feature on AOSP for quite a while and I hate the idea that my current app pauses and instantly goes to background before I'm actually ready to select another app, or if I quickly check the thumbnail of another app before returning to the app, it's nice to return to said app uninterrupted.
Did the feature exist in Lawnchair v2? (Play Store version)
No

Additional context
This was removed early in Lawnchair 14 citing Google's failure of improving live tiles, along with further complications of keeping it in Lawnchair's codebase. Perhaps something in the Android 15 beta 2 has mitigated that complication?
