Awesome! thank you. Your feedback means a lot to me. You're the second person this week that has asked for it, and it should be straight forward. Im in the middle of a rather large feature set, so it will be a month or so. I hope you stick around until then. |

Because of the interest in this feature, i'll pause my larger release and get this in. For this small feature release, i plan on just scanning the messages and If a url is detected, make it clickable. In the future I plan to support markdown which could handle this case, but would also be less convenient for a user on a mobile device. In your use case, will your clickable URL always contain a scheme (ie. http/https), or are you hoping for something that might have more false positives, like should it assume example.com is a URL? Thanks again for your interest, to both of you! |

Oh, wow! I wasn’t expecting you to pause the big feature release! I’m happy to wait for clickable links, but either way, I’m very excited with your development of Databag! For me, it’s far more likely that any link will have the full http/https scheme included, as I tend to send/receive lots of links to memes through the share sheet. Long term having it pick up false positives like example.com would be nice, but not necessary imo. Secondary question, I don’t want to bombard you with feature requests and add pressure, but I also do want to provide feedback and feature requests, do you have a pacing/limit to requests over time that users might give? I’ve thought of a few other things I’d like to see, but don’t want to overwhelm with a bunch of requests |

Please send me all of your feedback and feature requests as the come to you, no pacing. I've had very little feedback outside of friends and family that use this project, that I feel I have a lot of blindspots to where the pain points are. (clickable urls being an obvious one). Also, having the feature requests early will help me group related features into future releases. |

What you are doing now, in terms of feedback and feature requests, is what this project needs the most. The project is still pretty new and immature so it will need work in almost every domain. Feel free to support/contribute according to any strengths you might have, but don't stress, what it needs most is real world usage. |

Databag is now updated with clickable links. You can test it out on the demo site 'databag.coredb.org' or by updating your server. The mobile apps have also been updated, but the ios version is still going through the validation process. If you get a chance, can you give it a try and see if it works as expected? |

I ended up with a pretty restrictive URL requirement while integrating with XSS prevention tools. Unless it becomes a problem, I only plan to support full URLs with http/https. Thanks for validating the feature! (edit: will likely also support any url where I can prepend 'https') |

Hello! Just found Databag through the Awesome Open Source video and spun up an instance on my server. I LOVE how easy it is to set up and configure!
A feature I would LOVE to see is clickable links and/or inline link previews in messages. If I had to prioritize/choose between previews and clickability, I'd choose clickability all day. Previews would be nice, but link clicking would be amazing.
Either way, LOVE what you're doing. Gonna keep my instance up and running and watch as things develop. I'm currently running a matrix server, but wouldn't mind switching to Databag as I love how lightweight it is.
