Would it be possible for the admin and also for the users to show an indicator for the used space?

Yes, that is a good idea; I will add this to the UI redesign.
If that takes too long, I will do a smaller release earlier with this feature.

I've added the 'storage used' after the account name in the admin dashboard. It will only show a number if the account is hosting topics that have media assets attached (photo/audio/video)

If you get a chance can you update your container to 0.1.7 let me know if it is functionally what you are asking for. I know the UI needs work, which will be part of a larger effort.
