When I open up the helpfile for fluid.plotter (v1.0.5 on Max 8.5.2) I see this (no little "?"):

If I go digging through the /docs folder I do see a fluid.plotter.maxref.xml but searching for it in the Reference directly brings up nothing either:

(also unrelated, but was the version message removed? I remember being able to send a version message to any fluid.object and it would report in detail what version it was.

That object is special indeed. I think we had an issue already saying that there are no reference. you will not have a version to it as it is not part of the compiled objects. we could maybe code one in js but that is harder since it doesn't have the same relevance I think. @weefuzzy might have different views

For version I meant with any objects. I don't a response with, say, fluid.ampslice~ or whatever else.

With this one, there appears to be the .xml file, it just doesn't show up.

[* version is working for me on compiled objects with the latest release on 8.3]

  • If I click the context menu for fluid.plotter (and fluid.waveform) then I get a reference page
  • The question mark tab probably isn't there because there didn't used to be references for these, but if I put one in, it works
  • search indeed doesn't work. perhaps there needs to be an entry in max.db.json or something, but I don't know what it would be
