We are planning to add a simple expression language for writing validation and computations for fields. Nothing concrete yet.

One of the reasons I remembered this, is I was thinking, such a capability would come handy in defining custom cash flows. But also, custom financial reports.

These used be the case, in defining custom financial reports in Dynamics 365/Nav. It never shipped, still doesn't, I think, ship with standard Financial reports.
