Describe the bug
When loading chowtape VST3 on a fairlight track on Davinci Resolve Studio, the whole UI is unavailable, only the Chow Tape controls respond, I haven't found a way to get out of this other than killing the app and all my unsaved progress, been using VSTs on resolve for years without trouble.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Resolve Studio (I'm using 18.1.3)
  2. Create a project with an audio track
  3. Switch to fairlight audio view
  4. Load a Chow Tape as an FX on a track
  5. The Chow Tape window should pop up and freeze the entire UI except itself

Expected behavior
It shouldn't freeze the entire UI, nor anything really

Thanks for the bug report!

This is actually a known issue in Reaper and a couple other DAWs, and the solution is to turn on the "Use OpenGL" feature in the plugin settings menu (in the bottom right corner of the plugin).

The issue we've had is that some hosts (Reaper, CakeWalk, a few others) seem to behave poorly when the plugin window is being rendered without OpenGL. Unfortunately, we can't have OpenGL turned on by default, since that breaks compatibility with some older computers that don't support recent versions of OpenGL, as well as with the accessibility features in the plugin. We're currently working on some workarounds for future versions of the plugin.

Hey ! Thanks for the quick response, this work around works for me, maybe you could just put a warning with instructions in the hint space down there when no control is hovered while you find a fix ?

Also thanks from my side as I just ran into this problem on Reaper. I posted the info on the Reaper Forum.
