I was born in Belarus (BSSR to be precise) but have been living for decades in Berlin, Germany. I've also traveled a lot through Europe for a while (2007 - 2015).

In 2007 I've became a photovoltaik and wind plant technician/electrician but despite a very good qualification
and being able to land jobs as a technician at companies like Alstom, Krauss Maffei Kunststofftechnik, Twike and Stadlerrail - I wasn't very happy with perspectives and opportunities for a solar plant technician / electrician. Thus I've started to learn web development in 2014. As expected, this field opened to me the opportunity to work from home or any other place with a good internet connection and equipped with just a basic laptop. As a technician/electrician I would need to make much much more investments to start working independently on my own.

Even though it isn't always easy and it has its own quirks, I'm lucky to have been able to work exclusively as a freelancer since then. It has allowed me to move almost always in the direction I want and to expand my skills and knowledge based on practical requirements.

I like in general to get the whole picture. But working as freelancer for the end customer/user forced me even more in the direction of becoming a full stack developer and I think I've succeed in this pretty well.

Even though freelancing helped to become a full stack developer, I still wasn't fully happy with the general expectations by most clients. Mostly you are expected to deliver quickly and cheap and there is no room for too much creativity and experiments. Thus I've started in December of 2018 on my own projects: a weight lifting trainings web app based on Symfony and Vue.js (still not published yet) and a seo friendly plug-and-play
(no Server Side Rendering required) WordPress single page application theme also based on Vue.js (Wue Theme)

I would like to use this sponsorship to work on cool things (like the Wue Theme) without having too much the financial aspects in mind and focus instead on fun and cutting edge technology.
