Improve logging to history file; print less to terminal

We need a more systematic method of storing text to the ~/.dastard/logs/ file (or files) and printing to the terminal. Features wanted:

• Can start dastard with a more verbose mode for developers.
• If you don't, then default to user-mode, where a lot less text goes to the terminal than it does now.
• Permanent record for later examination of minor problems (e.g., dropped packets from Abaco).

This will require some discussion, perhaps even (gasp) a meeting. But @ggggggggg and I decided that we do need some changes along these lines. See #204 for one of the problems that needs logging.

This is fixed in v0.3.2, #341 or commit 508fd92 from early 2024.
