Mingda Tongda Technology

Application to become an approved third party manufacturer as per HIP19. The submission of a HIP19 application does not guarantee approval. All questions must be answered, any missing information will result in delays.

We have a partner who research and develop LoRaWAN server and gateway from 2015, and he had thought about a federal LoRaWAN network based on blockchain, but had no deeper design and implement .When we here the helium and read the helium’s whitepaper. We were excited and discussed it , The helium Network’s vision and mission are so matched with our thoughts before . So we are eager to join the economy of Helium Network.

Hardware Security Element (required)

  • The community is concerned about devices that can be easily hacked, specifically by copying their swarm_key files. Applications should include plan for how the devices will be secured. The approved security element is an ECC608. If you would like to use an alternative security element your HIP19 will require additional review, please email the Helium Foundation (christina@helium.foundation).

Manufacturing Information (required)

  • Have you built and delivered radio hardware products before?

  • How many gateways did you make? *
  • If you have not built gateways before, are you using a third party manufacturer or working with a partner? This is the single largest risk with most hardware ventures. If possible please provide information about your manufacturing partners and supply chain.
  • We use modules from Rejeee co. in China.
  • Where are you sourcing your components from?
  • We are in Shenzhen China, It is convenience to buy the components(mostly modules)from the manufactures and their distributors.
  • How many radio modules/ concentrators can you procure?
  • about 2,000 per month.

Proof of Identity:

Per typical KYC/AML procedures, proof of identity for major shareholders (25%+ ownership) will be expected to be provided privately to representatives from the Helium Foundation. This will be attested and publicly confirmed by those representatives. Details for this will be provided after your application has been submitted on GitHub.

Budget & Capital (required)

  • How many hotspots are you planning to manufacture and sell within the first six months of sales?

  • How much money will be required up-front? How much money do you have on-hand, and how much do you have access to?
  • We need pay about 1,000,000 up-front for the first lot of products. we have about 2,000,000 on our bank account.
  • What is your plan for additional financing if required? (This is the second biggest risk in new hardware ventures, getting almost over the line and then running out of cash.) we plan to produce about 1000 per lot ,and then arrange the next lot when there are less than 100 in stock. So we will carefully arrange the production to prevent budget overruns.

Risks & Challenges (required)

Please tell us about some of the challenges that would prevent these products from becoming a reality and how you might address them.

  1. COVID-19 occurs and the city and factory are locked-down. We will use the online tools to organize our production.
  2. the components are not in stock. We will carefully select components and mudules which are available in abundance, and place and order in advance.
  3. the shippment are slowed. We will try our best to reduce our product's weight and valume, so we can ship the product by air.
