this has been triaged by the team and based on the details there isn't anything pointing to the potential issue being caused by Netdata, so this has been tagged as a question. once the team has capacity they will try to dig deeper into this
@SysAdminShed if you have some more evidences that you believe this would point to an issue caused by Netdata please share on the ticket
Bug description
We deployed a brand new VM just for NetData (In order to use the Go.D module) and it is dedicated to that.
That VM reports Net_Drops every 1-2 seconds.
Tried to verify if there was any type of Vlan being pushed, no joy.
It is in a flat vlan dedicated to servers with no tagged vlan.
IP is Static, with DNS and Gateway worker properly like all others.
Expected behavior
This VM should not have any Net_drops when it communicate with NetData Cloud.
Steps to reproduce
1.Install a new Alma Linux 9 VM.
2.Deploy NetData Latest
3.Link to cloud account of NetData
4. Wait couple of minutes to see the Net_Drops.
Hypervisor is VMware 8.
