Bug or Feature: Sidebar toggle behavior

Describe the bug
Hi. I noticed that the sidebar is working strangely. If the side menu is open on the big screen (LG), then it is hidden on the small screen (SM). The opposite behavior is If you open it with SM, then it hides on the LG screen. Is this how it was planned? Shouldn't the panel always be open or always hidden between screen sizes?

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior.
before:

1. Open left sidebar panel (burger) on large screen
2. Resize window to small screen - sidebar hidden

after:

1. Hide left sidebar panel (burger) on large screen
2. Resize window to large screen - sidebar opened
