I am running the latest version of Unity3D editor on Ubuntu 16.04. If I preview the game in the editor, I see your custom mouse cursor and a blue background, and that's all. I also tried exporting the game out and running it, and get the same effect (after the Unity and your logo splashes).

Any ideas what's going on here?

It is weird.

I didn't updated project for Unity 2017.2 yet, but it might work for new versions.

It might be because of changes in Unity 2017.2 for 2D development.

Could you try the project on older Unity version?

Are you getting any errors at all?

Thanks.
