Nice News.
I have re-run several crazyMax to get php8 but nothing has moved,
and that's a shame, Neard is a really nice tool.
I'm glad someone is taking over, hopefully there are no problems with the original author of the project.

One question.
Can we install this version 1.8.3-RC1 next to the latest available version of Neard (1.8.2)?
I don't want to break my neard which I use a lot for my tests for the XOOPS CMS.
Otherwise, I have to test this version on a VB, if I could avoid doing so...

I dont' want to start drama but max did ban me from everything on neard because of it. One of the major reasons for the complete rename.
"Neard" is totally directory independant so you can have 2 folders but of course only run one at a time.

I've got a lot more updates coming very very soon, I'm going thru every package and making sure its up to date.. then we have to thoroughly test everything.

CrazyMax was no longer responding to issues but I didn't see a Pull Request proposed by you for e.g. PHP8 or a new version of Apache unless I didn't see them.

It is this point that I need to clarify,
as the authorship of Neard still belongs to its original author.

No, I did not make a pr. The fact that max did not respond to any of my posts to him on any platform made me feel the point was useless.
Neard is NOT closed source copyrighted It is gpl3. It IS open source and your allowed to do whatever you wish with it. I agree that the author of "Neard" is max. And because of the drama I've renamed it and will be HOPEFULLY making improvements with it. I already have plan to include perl in it just havent' had the time to do so yet since there are so many more important things to do.
I've checked with github personell themselves and friends in the OSS world and have followed their advice.
I hope this isn't an issue for you.
