'object_dashboard' => 'Dashboard',

It’s the name of the module (lower cased) prefixed with object_. Same scheme is used for the other translations.

Unfortunately, I had this translated before and the "dashboard" only changed in one place.

Well the navigation is cached. Clear the cache then you should be a me to see it. U can clear the cache with an artisan command or by deleting the files in the cache folder (be careful though not to delete something from wrong).
