Restricting the number of quiz attempts is mainly working, but there are instances when the user can continue to retake the quiz as many times as they like. To recreate:

  1. Open a quiz with a restricted no attempts allowed
  2. Answer the questions, making sure to get under the pass mark
  3. At the end of the quiz you can retake the quiz and can keep doing this an unlimited no of times, even though the no attempts should be limited.

Should check that the max no attempts hasn't been exceeded when the retake button is pressed.
