14.1b Tab crash, watching Rumble livestream (also YT Short as well), DrWatson log captured #442
Comments
This is same crash #427 missed thing. |
Easy to fix? Error occurs (looks like) in the DLL file "xul.dll" So far I only see this once fail. |
Not sure, since I never had this crash, poked yt and twitter much. |
Another tab crash - this time while doing YouTube Shorts. Same DLL file "xul.dll" is indicated. Comment: I was viewing YT Shorts when this happened, and had been doing so for some tens of minutes up to that point, so it was not just the first Short that did it. All afternoon yesterday was live-streaming storm-chaser Reed Timmer on his YT channel and no issues. Overall 14.1b works quite well for me on this Dell 755 Core2 Duo desktop. Only had those 2 tab crashes as indicated in this ticket. I do a lot of surfing on the net, and only had these two tab crashes. Should add: Running Ublock Origin ad blocker, but no other browser extensions. |
Was watching another Rumble live stream, had just moved the mouse, and tab crashed. 14.1b Fault: |
Another one (tab crash), still XUL.dll file Was scrolling down YT main page, and a Rumble video was playing on a different tab. The other tab required re-loading too, as it had closed apparently. |
This is all the same crash |
So far, no tab crashes since last post yesterday using 14.1b version. Have done a lot of browsing and videos, on YT and Rumble. Maybe bad script files on server side can cause XUL/XML HTML/script file interpretation fails in browsers? I don't know ... Will try Testcrash version in a little while (have leaking water faucet plumbing to work on.) |
Results running /testcrash%23427 - Start browser. |
Yes I have done wrong one thing. |
But, I need Win32 executable? |
Sorry I missed, the file is uploaded now. |
So far, so good. YT main page okay, logged in okay ... proceeding to surf ... ** Update: May 9 0132z No tab crashes to report yet. 01:32z May 9th |
Had tab crash this morning, it restored okay, and I got the Dr Watson log
drwtsn32_copy.log
Comment: Only had that one tab crash on Rumble, and also surfing on YT no tab crashes.
