DS4Windows reset settings

I am sorry I am a "little bit" angry AF because this is the 100th time it has happened. Even though I have "check for updates at DS4Windows startup" TURNED OFF - EVERY TIME an update pops up and it reset all of my settings.

My profile only keeps the name, but:
-All button configuration are RESET
-The lightbar is RESET
-The rumble is RESET
-Idle disconnect is RESET
-In settings "Flash lightbar at high latency" is RESET
-"Start minimized" and "Minimize to taskbar" is RESET

Everything returns to stock as if I just downloaded it for the first time. WHY does this happen? WHY does every update popup (not installed, but update NOTIFICATION) reset all of the settings? And WHY does it notify me of updates if I SPECIFICALLY selected not to be notified??
