I am using Windows 10 (many troubles, but still necessary)

luarocks install lapis
Installing http://www.luarocks.org/repositories/rocks/lapis-1.5.1-1.src.rock...
Using http://www.luarocks.org/repositories/rocks/lapis-1.5.1-1.src.rock... switching to 'build' mode

Error: Failed unpacking rock file: C:\Users\Dario\AppData\Local\Temp\luarocks_luarocks-rock-lapis-1.5.1-1-1764/lapis-1.5.1-1.src.rock

note that the file from http can be downloaded and extracted fine with other tools such as firefox and 7-zip
