поставив галочку в Settings...->Colors->transparent 
при просмотре изображений через Picture View 2, изаброжение уходит в фон и теряется

и чего вы хотите в режиме прозрачности??
могу только отключать прозрачность на время просмотра картинок

согласен. При "Background image" так и происходит.
