Problems with sending payloads ofthen caused by bad USB cable usage. Have you tried any other cables or OTG adapters?

Same for me. Samsung galaxy s8 - original otg adapter and cable. Fails with
"Sending payload failed at offset 65536".
Anyone an idea whats the key problem here? Os? App? Hardware?...

@jaysn try another adapter or cable, cause I saw people with S8 running fine

thats weird cause the exactly same adapter cable combinatios works fine on my notebook using rcmsmash.... think thats a problem on android which you simple have no interest in inspecting it nor fixing it.. so sad..

I had this same problem on my note 9. Using the USB cable that came with the phone with a otg adapter works fine but not with a different cable. Weird cuz my razer phone worked with the other cable no problem. And the other cable works fine with Tegra smash on windows too

@Hazardovich попробуйте другой USB-C кабель (они могут отличатся, т.к. стандарт USB-C немного запутанный)

FWIW can't reproduce this issue on a Galaxy S9+ (Exynos) running Lineage OS nor can I reproduce it on a Pixel 2 XL also running Lineage OS. Using the included Samsung USB OTG adapter

I have this issue with my original Samsung S9 cable. It is correct, that another cable (Huawei original P20 cable) fixes the problem, but I don't agree that it is a cable problem. My original Samsung cable NEVER fails, when injecting payload using a pc. So maybe the transfer rate here is too high? Could it be lowered so lower quality cables will work?

Jopand, i got the same isues, my original S9 cable only works using a PC. It's curious 'cause an old Kindle cable that is micro usb to A - using OTG and usb-c adaptors - works pretty fine.

Hi, I keep trying and have used multiple cables and devices. Keep getting failed at offset zero.

I've had the same issue and still unsure what resolves it but anyone or all of below seems to work for me:

  1. Try the latest hekate.bin
  2. I prefer Android USB debugging off
  3. Hold power button for 3secs to power off your switch
  4. Connect Switch to phone by USB
  5. Power on normally (press power button <1sec). Works if Rekado auto opens
  6. If [5] fails, repeat [3-4] then power on [5] whilst holding Vol+ button. Works if Rekado auto opens
